Robbery

Robbery

Confront an NPC and demand their valuables

Robbery

Rob an NPC directly — confrontational, not sneaky.
Higher risk than pickpocketing but bigger rewards.

Commands:
rob <npc> Confront and rob an NPC
  burgle <npc> Same as rob
hold up <npc> Same as rob
  mug <npc> Same as rob

Mechanics:
  - Skill check: Intimidation + Strength vs target Strength
  - Success: take 30-60% of their gold + chance of an item
  - Critical success: take 50-80% gold + higher item chance
  - Failure: target turns hostile and fights back
  - Fumble: disguise broken, guards alerted, bounty added

Modifiers:
  Night Easier (darkness provides cover)
  Wilderness Easier (fewer witnesses)
  Market Harder (crowded, many witnesses)
  Guard post Harder
Crime heat Repeat crimes at the same location are riskier

Consequences:
  - Target always turns hostile (even on success)
  - Massive trust loss with the victim
  - Honor loss (reduced vs criminal NPCs)
  - Bounty added in the local town
  - Thieves Guild rep +5 on success
  - Town Guard rep drops
  - Cooldown: can't rob same NPC again for several phases

Restrictions:
  - Can't rob essential NPCs (quest givers, trainers)
  - Can't rob guards (they attack immediately)
  - Can't rob in safe areas
  - Can't rob during combat
  - Can't rob dead NPCs (use 'search body' instead)
