Quests & Deadlines

How quests, deadlines, and rewards work

Quests & Deadlines

Finding quests:
  - Notice boards in towns (look board / read board)
  - NPCs with quests to offer (talk to them)
  - Some NPCs only offer quests once you've built trust
  - Quest chains advance automatically after each stage
  - Breadcrumb hints after chain completion point to next adventure

Notice boards:
look board / read board See available quests
read 1 / read 2 Read a specific quest posting
accept 1 Accept a quest from the board

Quest commands:
  /quest View active quests
quest hint / ?hint Spoiler-free hint for active quests

Difficulty labels:
  [Easy] [Medium] [Hard] [Epic]

Timed quests:
Some quests have a deadline shown in days. You can
see remaining time in quest progress messages.

[5 days remaining] Plenty of time
  [2 days remaining] Getting urgent
[1 day remaining!] Critical — hurry!
  [OVERDUE] Past deadline

Completing a timed quest late does NOT fail it.
You can still turn it in, but rewards are reduced:
  - Gold reward is halved
  - Bonus items are not granted
  - Exceptional rewards are skipped

Completing on time gives full rewards plus any
bonus items listed in the quest description.

Quest Deadlines

How timed quests and deadline rewards work

Quest Deadlines

Timed quests show a deadline in game-days when
accepted. The countdown starts from the day you
pick up the quest.

Reward tiers:
On-time: Full gold + bonus items
Late: 50% gold, no bonus items

The deadline is shown in quest progress updates.
An overdue warning appears once when the deadline
passes.

Tip: Check quest hints (?hint) for guidance on
where to go to complete objectives quickly.
