Political Factions

Political Factions

The four political factions after the market fire

Political Factions

After the market fire, Ghelmyon has split into four
political factions. Your choices shape which faction
trusts you — and which sees you as an enemy.

THE BLAMERS
Led by Aldric, a ruined merchant. They blame the
refugees for the fire and want them expelled from
the city. Growing in numbers and anger.

THE DEFENDERS
Marta, the Keshan healer, and the Temple priests.
They argue the refugees warned about the tremors
and deserve protection. Outnumbered but determined.

THE PRAGMATISTS
Led by Dagna the mason. They don't care about
blame — they want to rebuild the market and move
  on. Practical, apolitical, quietly effective.

THE TRIBUNAL
The Collegium mages. They care about the strange
resonance beneath the city, not about refugees.
Wildcard faction with their own agenda.

How it works:
  - Your choices during story events shift faction rep
  - Each faction offers its own quest chain
  - High rep unlocks trust, quests, and allies
  - Low rep locks you out and earns enemies
  - Your dominant faction affects the endgame

Faction quests:
  Blamers: Clean Streets (patrol, intimidate)
  Defenders: Safe Passage (escort, petition)
  Pragmatists: Rebuild Ghelmyon (salvage, hire)
  Tribunal: The Investigation (resonance, crystals)
