NPC mail — read anywhere with /mail
Social — Mail

NPCs send you letters based on your relationships, world
events, and quest progress.

Commands:
  /mail                  Check your mail (works anywhere)
  /mail <#>              Read a specific letter by number
  read letters           View letters (tavern or home only)
  read letter <#>        Read a specific letter (tavern or home)
  read mail              Same as 'read letters'

/mail works anywhere — think of it as checking your phone.
The 'read letters' verb is more immersive and requires you
to be at a tavern letter board or your home mailbox.

If you rent a property, your home has a mailbox too.
You'll see a notice when you arrive home with unread mail.

How to get more letters:
  - Build trust with NPCs (talk, help, trade)
  - Complete quests and milestones
  - Visit NPCs regularly (they notice if you disappear)
  - Raise faction reputation

Letter categories:
  Personal    — Friendly messages from NPCs who like you
  Quest       — Quest-related correspondence
  Trade       — Merchant tips about stock and prices
  Warning     — Faction or political warnings
  Invitation  — Social invitations from NPCs
